My parents retired & moved from Queensland fairly recently. So with that in mind, they’re currently into money saving ‘bargains’ and ways to learn more about our fair city – Miss Melbourne! So we agreed to join them for a fun night out courtesy of their Groupon voucher they purchased for $75 for a 9 Course Korean Banquet for Four valued at $236.
This is what we were served…
Appetiser platter to share (x2)
Shared Entrees
The BBQ meats followed:
There was also a soup..
For dessert, the four of us were able to choose from two desserts to share. The menu consisted of:
- Orange Panna Cotta
- Passion Fruits Mousse
- Raspberry cheesecake – their ‘signature dish’ but out of stock this evening
- Chocolate Mud cups
- Green Tea Ice Cream
- Black Sesame Ice Cream
- Cafe di Brazil
- Vanilla Ice Cream
- Very Raspberry Sorbet.
We were instructed to order our desserts at the start of the evening…
All in all, an enjoyable evening with the old folks, hubby and lil’ E. The company was awesome, the food as expected, but the ‘real’ price of $236 being really quite alarming. If you’re keen to spend that much, we recommend trying out Hwaro on Little Bourke Street down near King Street. They have attentive staff, marinade all of their meats and you don’t smell any (street) sewerage from any of their seats.
