chin chinThis Asian establishment is one of the most blogged about, raved about, and talked about restaurants ever since opening its doors 3 years ago.  So earlier this month, my husband and I finally decided to rock up and see if we could get a table.  Obviously, we did – surprisingly without having to wait at all – and this is what we had..

Chin Chin pork “roll ups” – red braised suckling pig with pancakes, slaw & Asian herbs ($19)chin chin pork roll ups

Chilli salt chicken wings with coriander & fresh lemon ($14)chilli salt chicken wings

Smashed green papaya salad with chargrilled red chilli, prawn floss, peanuts & black beans cooked in chilli oil ($16)smashed green papaya saladHot hot hot.. but soooooo good!

Crying tiger – chargrilled sher wagyu with a chilli tamarind dressing, ground roast rice, fried glass noodles & holy basil ($29)crying tigerThis was very spicy as well but absolutely delicious.

Caramelised sticky pork with sour herb salad & chilli vinegar ($26)caramelised sticky porkThey really did save the best for last.  This dish was incredible.  Crispy all over and super juicy and succulent on the inside with the perfect balance of sweet, sour, salty & spicy.

Although the service was average, every dish was pretty darn good when we went there and we can totally understand why people keep returning (despite the queues) over and over again to try each item on their extensive menu.
